Anti-football And Anti-Arsenal Series
This series about Anti-football, Anti-Arsenal and the misguided self preservation of English football was inspired by the events following Stoke City’s Ryan Shawcross’s assault on Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey on Feb 27th 2010.
While the apologists rallied to save Ryan Shawcross’s reputation, we decided to take an in-depth look at the key underlying issues that stew over this morass in the English game.
We lay out a case for the reasons behind the Anti-football culture, as well as the anti-Arsenalism that we so often see within the football establishment. We look at the systematic targeting of Arsenal and how the establishment seeks to defend the indefensible.
We also look at the role of players, managers, match officials and governing bodies in this conspiracy of anti-football.
