Darius. Loved the post over at ACLF. Sipping on some lovely jasmine tea in a right now.

Is there a comparison with how the Murdoch press in particular has been involved with American sport, with what has happened with the EPL? I’m thinking of the obvious role of Stadium developments, the way Wages & players’ cars become apart of the ‘Spectacle’ etc…

I mean by that, even though other FA’s are more transparent with their Corruption, ahem, at least they have a rational number of teams in the league and games per season. And instruct referee’s to be just a little more chilled so the national team doesn’t keep turning up to tournaments on crutches.

Do the FA have any control of English football?

Another brilliant piece Darius and well said Firstlady. I live outside the UK and can’t imagine life without the Arsenal. I know more about Arsenal than my local club as blogged.

Of all the EPL teams, Arsenal comprehends this concept way better than the rest. This is one particular reason our manager will not look at your passport to get you into the Arsenal team. Any good player gets an equal opportunity.

If England’s world cup performances are anything to go by, I hate to think what the premier league would be like if it wasnt globalized(foreign players). most English talent plays in England so its not like they lose anything there, Imagine if all foreign talent was missing.It would be very boring indeed.

That is absolutely true. I have come to the same conclusion myself. I have often wondered why the english media keep spouting the “Arsenal are not english” jibe. I am already salivating for the next installment.
